1. Dreadlocks, Synthetic Dreads lub dreadloki jest to fryzura tymczasowa. Dredloki umieszczone na fanpage wykonane ręcznie są z włosów syntetycznych, wraz z udziałem mojej własnej, twórczej inwencji (Dread Witch’s Synthetic Dreads). Nosi się je do dwóch miesięcy lub dłużej, w zależności od tego jak szybko odrastają włosy. Zakłada się na różnej długości włosy, od 8 centymetrów aż po długie.
2. Istnieją różne typy dredloków:
Pojedyncze (SE – single ended)
Podwójnie zakończone (DE – double ended)
Standardowa ilość na całą głowę w przypadku Double Ended to 40-55 dredloków, jeśli chodzi o Single Ended – potrzebujemy dwa razy tyle (80-110) by zapleść na całą głowę.
3. W poszukiwaniu dredloków możemy spotkać się z wykonanymi fabrycznie oraz ręcznie. Fabryczne z reguły są tańsze i cieńsze, jednak ma też to swoje wady – szybciej się rozwijają i niszczą. Dredloki wykonane ręcznie, pomimo iż są droższe, będą służyły nam kilka lat. Szeroka gama kolorów pozwoli również na stworzenie indywidualnego zestawu wedle wymagań przyszłej właścicielki ;).
4. Dredloki zaplata się na warkoczyk, ta technika przedstawiona jest Doctoredlocks na youtube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ca0ECeC2KJ8 ) lub na stronie Baglady (http://www.bagladyshop.pl/2010/06/jak-doplatac-dredloki-do.html) lub na blogu Merry Synthetic Dreads (http://merrys-dreads.blogspot.com/p/dreads-faq.html ). Warkoczyk zakańczamy gumką (najlepsze gumki nadające się wiązania to te dla koni).
5. Rozplatanie dredloków następuje szybko, wystarczy przeciąć gumkę i rozpleść warkoczyk po czym zdjąć dredloka – w efekcie zdjęcia wszystkich mamy niesamowitą burzę loków na głowie ;).
6. Higiena: osobiście myłam włosy z dredlokami na głowie raz w tygodniu ale to wszystko zależy od własnych upodobań i typu włosów. Jeśli pozostawiamy grzywkę, możemy ją oczywiście myć częściej. Warto wykorzystać jakiś ziołowy szampon lub dla dzieci, rozcieńczyć go w misce a potem wylać na głowę. Masujemy palcami włosy przy odrostach a dredloki wyciskamy w tą stronę, w którą są skręcone. Bardzo dokładnie płuczemy (jeśli zostanie nam szampon na głowie możemy zadrapać się na śmierć ;) ). Do suszenia przyda się nam z dwa ręczniki, chyba że za oknem mamy ładną, słoneczną pogodę. Odradzam suszenia suszarką ;) gdyż dredloki mogą się zrobić puszyste.
7. Odświeżanie dredloków: warto co jakiś czas odświeżyć dredloki poprzez mycie ręczne w szamponie lub pranie w pralce. Do pralki najlepiej wrzucić je w poszewkę lub pończochę, wybrać najkrótszy program prania i 40 stopni. Ja osobiście myję ręcznie w misce.

1. Dreadlocks or Synthetic Dreads – it is a temporary hairstyle. Synthetic Dreads which you see on this fanpage are made from synthetic hair (kanekalon) with my own creative inventiveness (Dread Witch's Synthetic Dreads). It can be worn up to two months or longer, depending on how quickly you hair will grow back. They are attached to the hair of different length, from 8 inches to longer.
2. There are different types of dreadlocks:
Single Ended (SE)
Double-ended (DE)
The standard amount of synthetic dreads for the whole head in case of Double Ended ones is about 40-55. However, when it comes to single-ended ones - we need twice as much (80-110) to braid the whole head.
3. During search for dreadlocks we can see the manufactured ones and handmade. Manufactured are usually cheaper and thinner, but it also has its disadvantages - they unwrap and fall into ruin faster. Handmade dreadlocks, although they are more expensive, will serve us for a couple of years. Wide range of colors will allow us to create an individual set according to the requirements of the future owner ;).

We are ending our braids with a rubber band (the best bands suitable for binding are those made for horses).
4. Unwrapping of dreadlocks is really fast. All you need to do is just to cut a rubber and remove dreadlock - as a result of unwrapping we have the amazing storm of curls on the head ;).
5. Hygiene: I, personally wash my hair with dreadlocks on the head once a week, but it all depends on your own habits and type of hair. If we leave the bangs we can wash more often. It is worth trying a herbal shampoo or shampoo for children, dilute it in a bowl and then pour out over a head. Massage your hair with your fingers near the sprout and squeeze dreadlocks in the direction in which they are twisted. Now rinse them very precisely (if the shampoo remains on our head we can scratch ourselves to death ;)). For drying two towels can be of use, unless outside the door we have lovely sunny weather. I dessuade drying the hair ;) because dreadlocks can get fluffy.
6. Refreshing of dreadlocks: it is worth to refresh from time to time your dreadlocks by hand washing with usage of shampoo or wash them in a washing machine. When it comes to washing them in washing machine the best is to put them in a pillowcase or stocking, then select the shortest wash program and for 40 degrees. I personally hand wash them in the bowl.
